Robert Dalziel


About Robert

Managing Director/Senior Financial Adviser

Rob joined Beach Insurance Brokers to build the Financial Advice side of the business in 1993, to further enhance the services offered to the Company’s General Insurance clients. After being part of a management buyout in 2003 Rob took ownership of the Financial Advice side of the business in 2009 with a split with the General Insurance side of the business allowing both businesses to concentrate on their own area of speciality and to run their own business as they felt it should be run.

He has in excess of 40 years’ experience in financial services, and has provided independent advice to numerous clients, both existing and new, in the Corporate and Personal sectors, ranging from Pensions and Investments, through Finance, to Life, Critical and Disability insurance.

Rob has achieved all relevant qualifications to Diploma status and is a member of the Personal Finance Society. He has achieved examination qualifications to be authorised as a Financial Adviser specialising in all Pensions.

Nick Ling


About Nick

Financial Adviser/Director

Nick joined Beach in 2015 as the new financial adviser to assist Rob as the client base increases and to bring in his own clients. Nick has further enhanced the business since 2015 and is now gaining experience from Rob and his time in the industry already. As with Rob, Nick now has a range of clients from corporate company clients to his own personal clients. Nick is a member of the Personal Finance Society and has achieved all relevant qualifications to Diploma status. Nick is currently gearing up with lots of study to take his exams to become Chartered.

Jo Smith


About Jo

Client Liaison and Office Manager/Director

Jo has been part of the Beach family since 2010 and started as an administrator when Beach was just a team of three. She now enjoys liaising with new and existing clients and has built up really good relationships with some of our longer standing clients. Jo will manage Rob and Nick’s diaries to arrange appointments for clients and will sometimes accompany them to meetings for administration support to ensure a smoother more efficient process when back at the office.

Jo has helped build and now leads a team of three administrators in the office to provide support to the advisers which gives our clients the confidence to no longer totally rely on Rob. Her main focus is to manage the team effectively to get the best out of each member of staff, whilst looking after our clients to ensure their needs are met at all times. She shows a keen interest in the financial planning work for our clients.

Maxwell Dalziel


About Maxwell

Trainee Adviser/Director

Max joined the administration team in 2016 whilst he trains to be an adviser and follow in Rob’s footsteps. As Rob’s son, Max has seen Rob grow the business from the very start to where it is today which he finds extremely motivating for his future career.

Currently training and taking his exams, Max is looking forward to achieving the relevant qualifications to Diploma status and is now a member of the Personal Finance Society. Max aims to look towards his Chartered status in Financial Planning to add yet another fully higher qualified adviser to the ranks at Beach.

Whilst training, Max also works closely with Jo to provide support through the administration team and Nick to understand our client proposition and financial planning service, as well as learning about our investment process and fund research.

Jennifer Dalziel


About Jennifer

Part-Time Administration and Company Secretary

As Rob’s wife Jennifer has been with Rob since the beginning of Beach and has been there to support Rob and assist him with the business. Jennifer started by helping the administrators, covering busy periods, training courses and holidays but now mainly concentres on organising and client interaction at functions and seminars and provides an example a very good and tough work ethic towards the business.

Cheryl Emery


About Cheryl


Cheryl has been part of the Beach team since 2015 and joined as an administrator at the time when the business was looking to expand. She started off as the first point of contact to clients on the telephone and assisted in the basic administration work but now provides thorough administration support to Jo and the financial advisors.

Cheryl is always on hand to speak to clients to help with any queries and will liaise with product providers to ensure work goes through smoothly.

Andrea Wellings


About Andrea


Andrea has also been with Beach since 2015 and joined just a short time before Cheryl. Like Cheryl, she also started off assisting clients and providers by telephone with some basic administration work but now will often accompany Rob to client meetings to provide administration support so that Rob’s time is spent more efficiently both at the meeting and back at the office.

From this, she has built up good client relations and is always available to help clients with initial queries.

Andrea is a huge part of our client review process and also assists with the business reconciliation on a monthly basis.

Sandra Whitrick


About Sandra

Sandra is the newest addition to the Beach team, joining in the first quarter of 2018. Sandra is the friendly first point of contact when you call the office and will navigate your call to the most appropriate member of staff if she cannot help you herself. A great asset to Beach, Sandra is a key addition to allow the company to move forwards.
